Join us in support of the “Hands Off Iran” emergency protest planned for today at 5PM in Chicago, as antiwar organizations continue to rise up against the U.S. war on Iran.
WHEN: Monday, June 23rd, starting at 5 PM
WHERE: Federal Plaza, 230 S. Dearborn, Chicago, IL 60604
*Note: There is an excessive heat advisory today. Please use caution and bring water*
Thank you to all who joined us yesterday at 5PM and 6PM, as members of local and national organizations including CAPA, Students for Justice in Palestine, CODEPINK, the National Iranian American Council, and more braved the heat to protest U.S. strikes on the territory of Iran. Similar protests are happening in cities across the U.S. As our No Iran War coalition statement says about the U.S. entry into war on Iran:
“…This reckless move by the U.S. has severely destabilized what passes for today’s global order and raises the specter of another global war with the strong possibility of a nuclear exchange. Such an exchange would have devastating consequences for the entire planet and call human survival into question. We in the peace movement need to quickly mount a massive united response to this crisis. As citizens of the United States, we have a special responsibility to raise our voices in opposition to this insanity.”
