CAPA is forming a new Working Group focused on learning and promoting the revolutionary model of Violence Intervention, as practiced by individuals and groups in Chicago and beyond. We will be engaging with and highlighting initiatives by those working to prevent, respond to, and uproot violence without using further violence.
On April 23rd, we invite you to join us at Build 2 Heal: The State of Femininity in the Village, an event by Sahu Creative and The South Side Writes. With April being both Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Poetry Month, this event will feature panels centered around acts of violence impacting women along with powerful spoken word poetry.
